Tim joined the Wakeman BGC staff in 2002 as the Southport Clubhouse’s Basketball Program Director, before spending ten years as Unit Director of the Stratfield Clubhouse. In 2005, Tim played a lead role in the launch of the Wakeman Outreach at McKinley, managing both the McKinley Outreach and Stratfield Clubhouse until 2014. From 2014-2019, Tim served in various administrative capacities, most recently as Director of Marketing & Outreach, responsible for marketing, outreach, community partnerships, outcome measurement, and support of staff and volunteers. Tim returned to the Southport Clubhouse in September 2019, assuming the role of Southport Unit Executive Director.
Tim graduated from Springfield College with a B.S. in Movement & Sports Studies and minor in Business; with his studies also taking him to the University of Wollongong, Australia. Before coming to Wakeman, Tim spent a year as an International Volunteer with the City YMCA of Belfast, Northern Ireland. A long-time member of the Stratford Coaches Soccer Club, Tim has been a USSF soccer referee since 1992 and was previously a member of the Stratford Youth & Family Advisory Board and Stratford Youth Sports Association. He is a member of the Town of Stratford Parks & Recreation Committee since 2022. Tim completed Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Advanced Leadership Program in 2010, BGCA Learning Coaches Training Program in 2015 and achieved Praesidium Guardian Certification in 2022.
When not at the Club, Tim can usually be found chasing his three sons with his wife Caroline, growing giant tomatoes or running in the woods.
