Built in 2011, the Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse is a convenient resource for youth in grades K-12 who reside in the Black Rock and West End neighborhoods of Bridgeport.
The Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse offers a comprehensive array of resources and activities to foster the academic and personal advancement of children and teenagers. Our state-of-the-art facilities include dedicated classrooms for Power Hour Homework Help and various educational programs, a STEM room to explore science and technology, an art studio to unleash creativity, a game room for recreational activities, a weight room for physical fitness, a dance studio for artistic expression, and a technology room for digital learning. Additionally, our clubhouse boasts two teen lounges and a full-size basketball court to encourage social interactions and active engagement. Moreover, we provide a grassy play space with a Gaga Ball pit and convenient access to the nearby Cal Ripken multi-purpose field, located just a quarter mile away.
