About the Program:
Ages: 7 - 18 (Grades 3-12 for the 2024-25 school year)
Fee: $60
Dates: March - June
Location: Madison Avenue Community Clubhouse, Kennedy Stadium, and Various Fields in Bridgeport Community
The Rugby Program is an alliance between COBRA Rugby and Wakeman Boys & Girls Club. The goal is to demonstrate to our young men and women that hard work, persistence, effective communication, commitment to the team, self-control and considerate behavior result in real strength--strength that is noticed, acknowledged, and respected by others. Our team members learn that these behaviors lead to success. Participants train together twice a week and compete against teams throughout the New York tri-state area. This increases focus on academics and positive actions due to a newfound belief that future successes are attainable.
