LaVera has successfully led numerous projects aimed at improving educational outcomes and providing essential resources to underserved communities. Her passion for equity and education drives her commitment to making a positive and lasting impact in the lives of those she serves. Her range of roles include Pre-School Head Teacher, Summer Camp Director, Special Education Coordinator, Kindergarten Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator and Program Director.
LaVera attended Southern Connecticut State University and obtained her degree in Secondary Education and is seeks to pursue her doctorate to complete her overall educational goals. With over 15 years of experience dedicated to a career of supporting and uplifting diverse population of children and families, LaVera has empowered lives of young people throughout Connecticut.
