Erika Joined Wakeman Boys& Girls Club in October 2023. Erika recently served as a Youth Director and Community Liaison for a nonprofit in Bridgeport. Before becoming a director, she completed her Master of Social Work at Springfield College and recently received her LMSW. Erika has a passion for children and families and has also worked with other populations along the way, having started her journey in Early Childhood and Human Services. Working with children and families has encouraged her and her soul purpose is to change the lives of youth from different backgrounds and family dynamics. She has spread the love and passion for what she does all over Connecticut!
As she continues to work as The Director of Teen Initiatives, Erika also takes on the role of an Educational Consultant, Family Support Worker, Mentor, and founder of “Come Take A Journey With Us”. She loves that she gets to go to work each day and make a big difference in the lives of children and teens. She is thankful for the opportunity to share her ideas and experience as part of the Wakeman Family.
